About Danny Gazzi

I have been an occupational hygienist for 30 years, after working for a few years in general Health and Safety. After gaining experience in engineering, construction and the pharmaceutical industry, I founded the consultancy Industrial Health Control in 1998.  As this name suggests, I am particularly interested in the control of exposure, i.e. problem solving.

This is particularly relevant now that the number of fatal occupational accidents has fallen to an all time low (in the UK it’s below 200 deaths a year).  It’s surely time to focus on the much higher number of deaths (estimated at 10,000-20,000) and ill health caused by occupational exposures.
